– 1 bag (30 oz) frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed – 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese – 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup – 1 cup sour cream – ½ cup melted butter – 1 small onion, finely chopped – 1 cup crushed cornflakes or potato chips (for topping) – Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
